Bug Crawls Across Sean Hannity’s Collar and Neck on Fox News — and Twitter Has Some Thoughts
At one point during Thursday's Fox News show, a bug could be seen crawling around host Sean Hannity's shirt and neck
There ended up being a special surprise guest on Fox News Thursday.
Right as the Hannity broadcast was about to cut to commercial, a small bug could be seen crawling over host Sean Hannity’s clothing and face.
As the television host teased updates on the Jussie Smollett and college admissions bribery scandals, the insect could be seen moving around Hannity’s shirt collar before crawling onto his skin, inching its way along his neck and up to the underside of his chin.
Although it may have been hard for viewers to focus on what Hannity, 57, was saying at the time, the Fox News host did not visibly react to the bug and continued on with the show as if nothing out of the ordinary was happening.
Hannity went on to laugh about the incident later on in the broadcast, saying he had no idea what was happening.
“Earlier in the program, unbeknownst to me, I had a bug crawling on my collar during the show,” he said. “I didn’t even feel it!”
Of course, it was only a matter of time before Twitter began pointing out the bug’s cameo.
“Ummm… did anyone else notice the MASSIVE TERRIFYING BUG crawling on @seanhannity’s neck after the @GovMikeHuckabee segment!? #Hannity,” wrote one Twitter user.
Comedian Sarah Silverman added, “That fat bug that crawls down Sean Hannity’s collar is grossing me out so hard.”

Although some Twitter users went on to compliment Hannity’s professionalism, many took the opportunity to slam the conservative Fox News host.
Although it remains unclear exactly what type of insect was crawling around on Hannity, several Twitter users suggested it was a common stink bug.
