Forget Len Goodman – the only opinion that really matters is the one from dad.

On Monday’s episode of Dancing with the Stars, Bruce Willis visited his daughter Rumer while she prepared for tonight’s number for Era Night.

It was a painful workout – at one point, Rumer‘s partner Val Chmerkovskiy grabbed her neck too hard and left her writhing in pain. But Papa Willis only had words of praise for his oldest daughter.

“I love seeing her happy like that,” Willis said. “Keep doing what you are doing. You guys are doing great.”

Willis’ wife Emma also weighed in on the impact Rumer, 26, is having on the family’s good name. Looking at her husband, she said, “You’re becoming Rumer Willis’ dad … [it’s] not Bruce Willis’s daughter.”

Chmerkovskiy, 29, also had a little fun at John McClane‘s expense. He asked Bruce, 60, if he’d ever do the show.

“I don’t think so,” said Rumer’s dad. “I wouldn’t make it.”

Bruce has attended the live show three times but Rumer’s mother Demi Moore has sat on the ballroom’s sidelines for every performance, including Monday’s show.

Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
