Brooke Burke-Charvet is adding another hosting gig to her résumé with her upcoming series Breaking Bread with Brooke Burke.

The show, which features Burke-Charvet interviewing different celebrities at their home or a favorite restaurant, has one delicious requirement: food.

“The nucleus of the show is food, but it’s really about family traditions and love,” Burke, 44, tells PEOPLE. “It’s not just another celebrity interview program.”

She adds, “The show takes us to a comfort place through meaningful meals. It’s important to hit the pause button in our chaotic lives to connect with family and friends.”

In an exclusive sneak peek at Breaking Bread, the actress meets up with The Brady Bunch‘s Florence Henderson at her favorite Italian restaurant of almost 25 years where Henderson reveals to Burke-Charvet the one quality she looks for when dating a guy.

“If you’re serious and you have no sense of humor about yourself or life, then bye-bye,” Henderson – who adds she likes to laugh – shares. “But a lot of guys my age can’t keep up with me, so I tend to go for slightly younger.”

Says Burke-Charvet, “[Florence] is the iconic TV mom. She has a zest for life that I’ve never seen and so much wisdom to share.”

“What’s inspiring and surprising about Florence is that she took a very rough childhood and turned it into a warm and loving family,” adds Burke-Charvet. “This show is about the journey through food and sense memory I was able to go to deep places with our celebrity guests. We were able to dish up some girl time in a swanky Santa Monica Italian restaurant that she calls home for family dinners.”

Along with Henderson, the show will feature other celebrity guests, including Jane Seymour, Nicole Ari Parker and Boris Kodjoe, and Ali Landry.
