If you’ve ever wanted to take a nap in the bedding section of a department store, run up a “down” escalator or steal money out of a fountain, Ellen DeGeneres and Britney Spears are officially your new idols.
Shooting a hilarious segment for the Ellen show at a mall in Los Angeles, Spears, 34, and DeGeneres, 58, gave everyone a taste of what the fabulous, consequence-free life is like.
“I wanted to take advantage of the celebrity lifestyle with my famous friends,” DeGeneres said on her show Wednesday. “So I called Britney Spears and took her to the Westfield Fashion Square Mall. I told her we could do whatever we wanted because we’re famous.”
In addition to stealing a suit and a handbag, the pair stopped to dole out some advice to kids and their moms and dads.
“We’d like to start people early to understand what is important in life – and that is money and celebrity, kids!” DeGeneres said.
She then turned on the mom and dads. “I know it’s a big responsibility to be a parent, [but] the most important thing: Start auditioning them early. Start putting them on diets, get them facials … if you want to be taken care of by your children, start auditioning them now!”
