Botched patient Samantha Taylor got some discount plastic surgery – and it has left her suffering.
Taylor was having a hysterectomy, and her OBGYN discovered thyroid cancer during the pre-op.
“I had lost a lot of belly fat, so she said, ‘I can help you get rid of this at a discount while I’m down there,’ ” Taylor, 40, tells Drs. Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif in an exclusive clip from Tuesday’s Botched.
It cost about $2,200 to pay the OBGYN and $800 for the anesthesiologist, which Dubrow says is quite a “discount” – the price of a couple of botox injections.
“There are many times in which it is a good idea to have a discount, but medicine in general is not the place,” he tells the camera.
An emotional Taylor initially told the doctor no to the procedure but agreed after she learned she had cancer.
“I thought that was it for me,” she recalls.
She did the abdominal surgery first and then had her thyroid removed six weeks later, a fact that Dubrow can’t believe.
“That makes my head want to explode,” he tells Taylor, adding to the camera, “When I hear that a doctor would want to treat a cosmetic deformity before taking care of a new cancer diagnosis, that screams of greed.”
She wants to take care of her stomach issues with the help of the Botched doctors.
“If there’s a world record for the size of foopas, I think I own it,” she says of her “super-foopa.”
Will it work out?
