He will appear as a minister on the CBS daytime soap
Chaz Bono is heading to The Bold and the Beautiful.
PEOPLE can reveal exclusively that the special guest star will be playing a minister in episodes airing March 31 and April 1.
“I’m very excited to have been cast in a role on The Bold and the Beautiful,” Bono, 46, tells PEOPLE in a statement. “I’m grateful that they are willing to pay me to do something I love, which is to act.”
The author and activist was recently seen on TV during a catch-up with Oprah Winfrey on Saturday’s Oprah: Where are They Now?, where he opened up about how transitioning from female to male helped him overcome a negative self-image.
The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS (check local listings).
