Ever wanted to call the Sexiest Man Alive? Thanks to Blake Shelton, for a little while Monday night you could.

Shelton upped the ante on his long-running sparring partner when he Tweeted Adam Levine‘s personal cell phone number live on The Voice during the Top 10 live performance show.

“HEY EVERYONE!!! Here it is: @adamlevine’s CELL NUMBER! Think I’m kidding? Try calling it!! B––––!!!” Shelton Tweeted with a sly smile as Levine looked momentarily horrified.

Shelton made good on the threats he delivered on Twitter shortly before the show, which Levine condescendingly dismissed to his peril.

Here’s what Shelton wrote to kick off the drama:

After some (jokingly?) testy back and forth Tweets, Levine responded:

Yet Levine didn’t seem to think it was so cute when Shelton followed through and posted the number, which host Carson Daly later admitted to Today was legitimate.

All eyes (and cameras) were on Levine as his phone indeed began ringing Monday night just after Shelton’s Tweet was posted, and after taking a second to compose himself he teasingly answered his phone with an accent and an “hola.”

“Hold on a second,” Levine told the person on the phone after they spoke briefly. He then turned to Shelton to exclaim, “Are you kidding me?”

For his part, Shelton just grinned like a cat as he took a sip of his drink, which he happily admitted on Twitter contained vodka. However, he copped to some remorse afterward, and attempted to make amends during a commercial break.

“I’m answering Adam’s phone because I actually feel bad that I gave his number out, so I’m answering now instead,” Blake told one caller, in footage shown later in the show.

Levine has yet to exact revenge, but he said on the show he’s got a plan – and it sounds sinister.

“It’s coming and it involves a fork, and an enclosed space and human poop,” he joked. (We hope.)

As for the phone number, sorry fans, but Daly says it’s already been disconnected.

Zing! Adam & Blake’s Bromantic Battles
