Billy Ray Cyrus has been in the spotlight for a longtime, but nothing beats spending time at home with his family on their 500-acre farm in Tennessee.

“I feel really lucky,” says Cyrus, 54, of his good fortune and family. While his five kids with wife Tish are all currently scattered between Los Angeles and Tennessee, their oldest son says that’s about to change.

“Everyone is sort of migrating back here. My mom just got a new show and is about to start filming here,” says Trace, 27 (Cyrus also adopted Trace’s sister Brandi, 29, from Tish’s previous relationship, and the couple share 23-year-old Miley, 22-year-old Braison and 16-year-old Noah). “Braison and Brandi are in Nashville. But Miley and Noah are still in L.A. They’ll probably never move back.”

Even on days when Billy Ray is the only one at home, he’s never lonely with the family’s six horses, a cow, a handful of dogs and a Zebra Donkey named Eeyore to keep him company.

“It’s home base,” says Braison. “Like when s—‘s going down, come here.”
