Allie Ishcomer moved in with her trainer and put school and work on hold to get herself healthy

Allie Ishcomer was booted from The Biggest Loser ranch Tuesday after losing only 17 lbs. in a weigh-in, falling below the yellow line, losing a sprinting challenged and then getting voted out by her costars. Before heading home, Allie told her mother to rid their Moore, Okla., home of tempting chocolate. Now down to 262 lbs. from 322 lbs., the former student, 22, spoke to reporters on Wednesday about moving out – and in with her trainer! – putting school and work on hold to focus on her health and how her life has changed. – Melody Chiu

How did you feel about getting voted off?
I think that [the other contestants] saw me as a threat and it was a good opportunity to get rid of me because I had a highest body fat in the house . . . It was just a game-playing move and at the end of the day, there’s [it’s] a game, so it is what it is.

As soon as you got home, you saw chocolate on the kitchen counter. Did you ask your mom about why she did not help you?
I haven’t asked her about it. Each person has to be ready to lose weight on their own. What I’m doing is a hard task to do and I don’t think she was ready to be that support system that I was needing.

Are there other people in your town who have become your support system?
Yeah, I actually got hooked up with [Biggest Loser contestant] Jerry Hayes’s trainer, Amanda Roush, and I’ve been living with her and she is my foundation. She has been absolutely amazing through this whole process.

How has being on The Biggest Loser affected your lifestyle?
The Biggest Loser has made me more aware of my eating habits and the show has really taught me I have to put myself first and I have to fight for my own self. No one else is going to do that for me.

What’s your exercise routine and diet like now?
My training involves running, swimming. You just have to mix it up so your body won’t get used to it. I do a lot of intervals on the treadmill and the diet is just picking clean, whole foods and as natural as you can get it. I really like apple and peanut butter for a snack. That is amazing.

Are you still going to school?
I actually put school and work on hold. Now is the time for me to really focus on myself, so I put everything on hold. I moved in with my trainer, Amanda, and this is my job.
