Mob Wives stars Carla Facciolo, Renee Graziano and Drita D’Avanzo took to Instagram on Saturday to remember their late friend and costar, Angela “Big Ang” Raiola.
If #bigang taught me anything it was to be thankful for my life long girlfriends, Graziano, 47, captioned an Instagram photo that was posted following a visitation for the star at the Scarpaci Funeral Home in Brooklyn. And as you can see I m happy to be with these amazing ladies reminiscing about our time with Ang.
The picture featured the group gathered together and smiling for the camera while all wearing black. Facciolo reposted the image, adding, “a day we will never forget.”
Big Ang died on Thursday at the age of 55 after battling stage 4 cancer. Immediately after her death was confirmed, her Mob Wives costars and other New Jersey reality stars reflected on the star’s life and her calm but scene-stealing moments on the show.
“Even filming, I couldn’t keep a straight face sometimes because all she did was make us laugh. Thank God for her, because if it wasn’t for her, we’d really kill each other sometimes,” costar and close friend Facciolo previously told PEOPLE with a chuckle. “Because if we were around her, she’d be like, ‘Get over it!’ She would yell at me. That’s why I used to call her the Mama Bear, because if I said something she’d be like, ‘Oh, Carla, please. Get over it.’ ”
Raiola’s funeral is taking place Monday morning at the Basilica of Regina Pacis in Brooklyn.
“Today we bring you to your final resting place next to mommy & daddy/ I will miss you every single day. I will talk about you to all of your grandchildren, children, your children, everyone, everywhere ! Send me the signs I’ll be waiting & looking for them,” her sister Janine Detore captioned an Instagram on Monday. “You will always be my big sister , my friend , my life has changed & I don’t do well with change you’ve impacted my life my kids lives my husbands life … you will forever be with me I will never let you go.”
