That Awkward Moment When Bethenny Frankel Meets Luann's Husband Tom D'Agostino for the First Time

Frankel exposed Tom D'Agostino Jr.'s infidelity on the Real Housewives of New York City last season

Awkward!

After exposing his infidelity last season, Bethenny Frankel is coming face-to-face with Luann D’Agostino‘s then-fiancé Tom D’Agostino, Jr. for the first time on Wednesday’s all-new Real Housewives of New York City — and PEOPLE’s got the exclusive first look at what just might be the most uncomfortable introduction ever.

The meet-and-greet goes down at a group cocktail event, where the cast gathers to celebrate the holidays.

Though Frankel and Luann have put their past behind them, it’s not hard to remember how tense things were between the two last season as Frankel presented Luann with the bombshell news about her now-husband.

According to an unnamed source close to Frankel, Tom had been unfaithful to Luann the day before their Palm Beach engagement party — making out for more than an hour with a Playboy model at New York’s Regency Hotel.

Luann confronted Tom over Frankel’s allegations and moved on with their engagement, later telling PEOPLE, “I’m not going to let a stupid kiss ruin the rest of my life.”

“He screwed up,” she said. “What he did was wrong. But this wasn’t premeditated. It wasn’t an affair. It was a mistake. He was upset with me. It was a stupid retaliation of some sort. He did the wrong thing, and he totally recognizes that. I know in my heart of hearts that he loves me.”

The couple have since walked down the aisle, but Wednesday’s RHONY takes place before their January nuptials. So does the drama come up when Frankel and Tom meet for the first time?

Surprisingly, no!

“Nice to meet you,” Frankel tells Tom. “I’m sorry if I caused you any drama. I don’t know you and I know her, so …”

Tom appears to take everything in stride, smoothly changing the subject and asking Frankel about her holiday plays.

The whole conversation seems to go over well with Luann: “I think it’s a nice gesture for Bethenny to say she’s sorry about what happened,” she says. “And I think Tom was the perfect gentleman and just kind of brushed it aside.”

As for Frankel, she’s vowing to stay away from the gossip.

“Whether or not Tom banged the entire kickline of the Rockettes is irrelevant now because homegirl’s going down the aisle,” Frankel confesses to viewers. “Their relationship is honestly their business. I got involved one time which will be the last time. But it’s awkward!”

The Real Housewives of New York City airs Wednesday (9 p.m. ET) on Bravo.
