Why Semi-Pro Matchmaker Beth Behrs Was 'Fired' by Her Friend
She may be most well known for her role as Caroline Channing on 2 Broke Girls, but Beth Behrs also has a successful career as a matchmaker.
“A lot of my friends have been asking me recently,” Behrs, 29, told PEOPLE at Friday’s 2015 Television Industry Advocacy Awards Gala benefiting The Creative Coalition in Los Angeles, where she was honored for her work with rape treatment centers.
“But one of my friends just told me the other night that I’m fired because a date she had didn’t go well! I was like, ‘I only get one option, then I’m fired?’ ” Behrs laughed. “So I’m fired right now as a matchmaker. I got to pull back and regroup a little!”
While she’s on her matchmaking hiatus, Behrs can focus on her own love life, namely her own boyfriend, former Mad Men star Michael Gladis.

“We cook together. He actually has taught me about cooking. When we met I didn’t know where kale was in the grocery store,” joked Behrs. “There’s this Indian-inspired chicken saagwala, but we do the healthy version. We use nonfat Greek yogurt instead of cream. And spinach. And we have a very nice bottle of Italian wine.”
So, is there a wedding in the comedian’s future? All the actress would say is this: “I’ve been in the same relationship for five and a half years. He’s the best.”
