Larry David basically becameBernie Sanders during his spot-on SNLimpression on Saturday – so much so that the Democratic presidential hopeful is now considering taking the comedian on the campaign trail with him.

“I think we’ll use Larry at our next rally. He does [me] better than I do,” Sanders joked to ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos.

The Curb Your Enthusiasm star delivered the cold open on SNL over the weekend, drawing laughs with his shout-for-shout impersonation of Sanders at the recent Democratic debate.

David’s version of Sanders entered the debate like a lion (“We’re DOOMED! We need a revolution!”) – but went out like a lamb: “Come next November, I will be Hillary Clinton’s vice president.”

(That last line was likely not approved by Sanders’ campaign.)
