Bachelorette runner-up Robby Hayes is open to finding love on TV once again.

Though the former competitive swimmer didn’t take home the final rose on Monday night’s finale, he’s contemplated the prospect of being the next Bachelor.

“It’s definitely something that’s crossed my mind. It’s definitely something I’d have to talk with my friends and my family about,” the 27-year-old told reporters Tuesday morning on a conference call.

“The reason I’m definitely open to it is because I know that this avenue and this journey works. It worked for me last season with JoJo, and I have no doubt that it could work for me again,” Hayes said of his journey with 25-year-old Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher.

Though Hayes said that there have “been mentions” of him being the next leading man, he revealed, “nothing is solidified.”

Asked about the prospect of being a contestant on spin-off Bachelor in Paradise, Hayes said he’ll need to watch the upcoming third season: “I’m going to have to watch the first episode because I’ve never seen an episode of it.”
