“I think I broke a record on night one for how many guys I kissed,” Bristowe tells PEOPLE. “My mind-set was, ‘Damn right I’m going to kiss everybody! I’m trying to find a husband here!’ ”
And when it comes to her ex Soules, Bristowe – who was sent home in tears as the second runner-up – says time has healed all wounds.
“To be honest, watching the season back helped me get over it,” she says. “Chris couldn’t give me the answers I wanted, but watching him with Whitney [Bischoff, his fiancée] I see what it was. That was closure in and of itself, and I ended up just being really happy for them. There are no lingering feelings. That seems like so long ago!”
And now, Bristowe, 29, is focused on her own happy ending – kisses included. “I’m going to take a lot of heat for the kissing,” the former dance instructor laughs, “but that don’t make me bad people!”
