'The Bachelorette' 's Shawn Booth and Kaitlyn Bristowe Are Officially Living Together

"We've actually only spent four hours apart from each other since the finale aired," Shawn Booth tells PEOPLE

Bachelorette couple Shawn Booth and Kaitlyn Bristowe are taking another major step in their relationship – the two are officially living together at Booth’s home in Nashville.

“We’ve been there for a week or two,” Booth, 29, told PEOPLE while promoting his Movember campaign to raise money for men’s health issues. “We’ve been getting along great living together. We’re just having a blast right now.”

While Booth says there’s no “typical” date night for the couple – “most of our dates happen on an airplane,” he explains – the two spend as much time as possible together.

“We’ve actually only spent four hours apart from each other since the finale aired,” he says. “We try to take advantage of every single second.”

With their chaotic schedules, the engaged pair haven’t had time to set a wedding date, but it’s a topic they’re definitely talking about.

“She looks at dresses, and we bounce some ideas off each other,” says Booth. “It’s something we want to do after the New Year once things slow down.”

Despite the not-so-great success rates of past Bachelor and Bachelorette couples, the personal trainer doesn’t let the statistics bother him.

“We look at Bachelor and Bachelorette couples and compare them to every other couple,” he explains. “If you take 10 sets of couples out in the real world, and 10 couples from the Bachelor and Bachelorette, you’re probably going to have the same rate of working or not working. We think that we have something special.”

Booth has also gotten advice from the franchise’s successes, including Jason Mesnick, Chris Siegfried, and Sean and Catherine Lowe.

“They just let us know not to get caught up in anything,” he says. “It’s a crazy show and a crazy world, so just try to do normal things and don’t worry about what everybody is saying. There’s always going to be naysayers and there’s always going to be gossip; try to stay focused on your relationship.”

Booth hopes his former castmate and upcoming Bachelor Ben Higgins will find the same happy ending he found on the show.

“We have high hopes for Ben H,” he says. “I’m hoping he finds the girl he’s looking for.”
