In a sneak preview of Monday’s episode, one of JoJo Fletcher‘s final four suitors is met with the unsettling news that his ex-girlfriend has taken her previous accusations to the next level and has enlisted a friend to blast him on social media and in person for lying and seeking out fame. “We know it’s not true,” assures Hayes’ mother, who is the unfortunate messenger during his hometown visit. “The thing– see, I’m going to get really upset right now,” he starts. “JoJo has concerns about this, and that could make her question my honest, and that’s bulls—.” Hayes continues, “It just sucks so much because I’m in love with JoJo, and she brought it up today. I’ve worked hard and been honest with her to let her know that that is such a part of my past that it’s never going to come up again, and if that’s going to be the chink in the armor that doesn’t make this work, I’m going to be devastated.” He adds, “I just don’t want to get heartbroken again.” Hayes, 27, isn’t the only one facing close scrutiny during this week’s hometown dates – front-runner Jordan Rodgers, who previously had to confront cheating suspicions, will go into more detail about his estrangement from his older brother, NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers. In another sneak peek at this week’s ep, 27-year-old Rodgers told Fletcher, 25, firmly that Aaron “doesn’t need to be a topic.” The Bachelorette airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
