At this point on The Bachelorette, JoJo Fletcher‘s tears aren’t limited to sadness.

In an exclusive sneak peek at Monday’s episode, when Luke Pell welcomes his leading lady to his hometown, a sunset heart-to-heart ends with the Bachelorette crying.

“I want the future, I want this future – I want us,” the 31-year-old veteran tells Fletcher, 25.

They share a tender kiss and she starts to say something, but her voice catches.

He says with worry, “Is that a happy cry?”

Fletcher assures Pell that, yes, she is happy, but “I just wish I had more time with you, you know? Thinking about having to leave, it makes me sad. Like, we have these random moments that are so powerful and, I don’t know, it’s just overwhelming.”

It’s just one of many tough moments for Fletcher as she reluctantly cuts her suitors in hopes of finding true love. Also on Monday’s episode, front-runner Jordan Rodgers will go into more detail about his estrangement from his older brother, NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and Robby Hayes encounters a potentially “devastating” accusation from an ex.

The Bachelorette airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
