On the finale of The Bachelorette, suitor Nick Viall has a serious case of déjà vu – and PEOPLE has the exclusive first look.

“Unfortunately, last season, there was a knock on the door, and Andi sent me home,” he says while waiting to pick out an engagement ring for Kaitlyn Bristowe. “I never thought I’d be more happy to see Neil Lane than Kaitlyn!”

While courting Andi Dorfman on TV last spring, Viall came in second place. Dorfman, realizing her feelings for him were “not right,” sent him packing before he even met with the celebrity jewelry designer. During the “After the Final Rose” special, Viall confronted Dorfman in what many fans considered a flagrant example of slut-shaming. (“If you weren’t in love with me, I’m just not sure why you made love with me.”)

But that’s all in the past! Now, Viall happily sits down with Lane, who notices he’s already wearing a Claddagh ring – an Irish accessory worn as a token of love, loyalty and friendship – matching Bristowe’s. (It’s also a reminder of the night she also had sex with Viall.)

“Well, I got something else here,” Lane tells Viall, gesturing to his black briefcase where the glittering diamonds are kept. “Want to see?”

Yes, please! Tune in to The Bachelorette on Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC to see if Viall pops the question – and whether Bristowe gives her heart to him or Shawn Booth.
