Tayshia Adams is keeping things light on her date night with Ivan Hall.

In PEOPLE's exclusive sneak peek at Tuesday's episode of The Bachelorette, Tayshia, 30, enjoys a fun evening with Ivan, 28. She surprises him with classic childhood games, at one point declaring "the floor is lava" as the two hop up on the furniture to avoid the ground.

"I feel like we should order room service first, play some games, and just chill," Tayshia says in the clip, as Ivan replies with a smile, "This is my type of date. I love this."

In a solo confessional, Ivan says he feels "like the luckiest man in the world" to get to spend one-on-one time with the Bachelorette, who also playfully instigates a pillow fight with him.

"This is, like, a fun date to be on," says Tayshia. "Things just feel like it should be."

As the pair dig into their meals, they begin to bond over their backgrounds. "I kind of just want to dive a little bit deeper, because I feel like I'm just scratching the surface with Ivan," Tayshia tells the cameras.

Earlier this month, the star opened up to PEOPLE about becoming the franchise's new lead in a shocking twist after Clare Crawley's abrupt exit from the show following her engagement to contestant Dale Moss. Tayshia, a former Bachelor contestant from Colton Underwood's season who also appeared on Bachelor in Paradise, said she tried to give each of her suitors a fair chance.

"Love comes in all different shapes, sizes and shades," she said. "So I made sure to be present in every relationship and give every person a chance."

Initially, however, she admitted she was concerned that some of the men still had feelings for Clare. "I was worried," Tayshia said. "We had to have honest conversations. But the guys reassured me and made me feel good. It wasn't a lingering feeling. I'm honest and open and ready to receive communication."

The Bachelorette airs Tuesdays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
