But that all changed when Nick Viall came into the picture. “I don’t think sex is a taboo thing,” Viall tells PEOPLE exclusively in this week’s issue. The next Bachelor famously revealed on national television that he had slept with Bachelorette Andi Dorfman while on her season, and his intimate relationship with Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe was a major story line on hers. Says Viall: “I’m an open book so I don’t mind the fact that it’s out there. People are well aware of the fact that Andi and I slept together, as well Kaitlyn and I, but I slept with two women that at the time I felt deeply for and thought there was a good chance I could end up with.” The frustrating part, says the 35-year-old entrepreneur, “is that people can’t be objective. By a lot of people’s opinions, I’m slutty or a man whore simply because of those two things. It’s a little silly. I’m no saint, but that’s not who I am.” RELATED VIDEO: 5 Questions with ABC’s Next Bachelor Nick Viall • For much more from new Bachelor Nick Viall, pick up the new issue of PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday However, when it comes to spilling the beans about his sexual past with Dorfman live on After the Final Rose in 2014, “I regret that in the sense that it unnecessarily and unfairly caused Andi to get a lot of flack. I wasn’t trying to accomplish that. Women have as much right as men to do whatever they want behind closed doors.” As far as his own Fantasy Suites when his Bachelor season begins this January, “I haven’t really thought specifically about it,” says Viall. “But I’m not going to be afraid to have some honest and candid conversations with the women.” Viall’s season of The Bachelor will premiere on ABC in early 2017.
