“Nick [Viall] thinks he’s officiating our wedding, which could be possible,” Waddell tells PEOPLE exclusively. “That would be hilarious!”

The happy and newly engaged couple have nothing but positive things to share about their pal.
“I think he is the best choice ever,” says Waddell. “He is so real and he’s also very endearing. I know it’s going to work and it’s going to be so nice to go on double dates!”

As for their own nuptials, the pair, who both live in Nashville, don’t have any plans as of yet.
“We’re excited about getting married,” says Bass, who has three sons: Nathan, 15, Liam 11 and Ensley, 8. “But we’re taking it one day at a time. And honestly, just hanging out with the boys has been a blast. The kids adore Carly.”
Adds his bride-to-be: “I’m equally in love with them! This has been a wild ride. I never expected this but I am so freaking thankful. Everything happened for a reason. I would do [the journey] a thousand times again. Because the next part is going to be bliss.”
