Just hours after making their debut as an engaged couple during ABC’s live After the Final Rose show, Bachelor Ben Higgins and his fiancée Lauren Bushnell headed to Los Angeles International Airport.

Higgins and Bushnell – to whom he proposed during the Season 20 finale on Monday – first appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, before taking off for New York City.

Even at the airport the handsome groom, 27, and bride-to-be, 26, couldn’t resist showing a little PDA, with Higgins smooching Bushnell as she toted gifts through the terminal.

After making the talk and morning show rounds, Bushnell will move to Higgins’ current home city of Denver.

“It made the most sense for me to move,” Bushnell, a flight attendant, told PEOPLE. “And of course Ben, being the sweetest guy, was like, ‘If you don’t like it, we can move!’ I’m more than excited. We’re starting a life together.”

Added Higgins, “Now that I’m out of that world and we’re together and looking at life from here on out, it’s a lot easier. [The Bachelor] led me to this woman who I love deeply. She is the only woman I’ll love from now on.”

PEOPLE’s collector’s edition The Bachelor, with new interviews and updates on your favorite contestants, is on sale now in stores and online!

While Bushnell and Higgins look forward to newlywed bliss, runner-up JoJo Fletcher will have her own chance at love as the next Bachelorette.
