Threaten Ashley Judd on Twitter, and you might soon find yourself in a legal battle.

The actress, 46, who says she took a shocking amount of abuse online while Tweeting during Kentucky’s Southeastern Conference championship victory on Sunday, is vowing to fight back in a serious way.

“I’m pressing charges,” the Insurgent star tells NBC’s Today show Tuesday.

“The amount of gender violence that I experience is absolutely extraordinary,” she says. “And a significant part of my day today will be spent filing police reports at home about gender violence that’s directed at me in social media.”

Many of the vulgar and explicit Tweets aimed at Judd came after she Tweeted that she thought Kentucky’s opponent, Arkansas, was playing dirty.
