Ashley Benson on Saying Goodbye to Her 'Pretty Little Liars '' Family': 'I Know We'll One Day Work Together Again'

Pretty Little Liars may be have wrapped, but star Ashley Benson plans to get the whole gang together very soon

Pretty Little Liars fans, fear not – the show may be have just wrapped filming its seventh and final season, but if Ashley Benson has it her way, you’ll being seeing the whole gang together very soon.

When asked what she’ll miss the most about filming the hit Freeform show the most, Benson shares without hesitation that it’s “the people.”

“They’re like my family. I’ve spent seven years with them, I’ve seen them more than I’ve seen my own family in the last seven years,” Benson tells PEOPLE. “It was really special to have such an amazing bond with these people, and the cool thing is I know that we’ll one day work together again.”

The 26-year-old actress, who moved from Los Angeles to New York City after wrapping the final episode, isn’t worried about losing touch with Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, Troian Bellisario or anyone else in her PLL family.

“I’ll always try to make an effort to see them because they’re literally my family,” she says. “I don’t know what I would have done without them for these last seven years if they weren’t part of it.”

In the meantime, Benson is enjoying her time in New York and doing her “own thing,” all while wearing one very special piece of PLL memorabilia that goes perfectly with her new tattoo.

“When we wrapped up the series, our creator Marlene King bought me and the girls these Cartier rings, and they’re absolutely beautiful. I haven’t taken it off since she gave it to me, and I don’t think I ever will. It’s the most special gift I’ve ever received,” says Benson, who has teamed up with Unilever’s #ShareAMeal to help get the word out about child hunger.

Pretty Little Liars returns to Freeform for its final season in April 2017.
