Ariel Winter isn’t your average teenager, but that doesn’t mean she is missing out on the major high school events.

On Monday, the Modern Family star officially became a 2016 high school graduate.

Winter also took to social media to share the news with a photo of herself hugging a close school friend.

“From Baccalaureate to Graduation tomorrow and then UCLA bound #classof2020,” Winter’s Instagram post read. In the snap, the 18-year-old is wearing a sheer white lace dress and smiling ear to ear for the camera.

She followed it up with a second post, showing off her blue hat and gown as well as her diploma with the caption: “It’s actually done…I GRADUATED.”

On Tuesday, Winter took to Twitter, sharing a special thank you to her family.

“Family. None of this would ever have been possible without. So grateful,” she wrote, attaching a family pic to the tweet.

Winter, who is currently filming a new movie Dog Years, confirmed in April that she will be attending University of California Los Angeles in the fall.

The actress has previously spoken about not letting her acting career keep her from furthering her education. Prior to her announcement, Winter told PEOPLE that she had applied to 17 undergraduate programs.

“It’s always been a dream of mine to become a lawyer, and social justice just feels like it fits for me,” she said. “I want to continue acting and also go to law school. I think the more knowledge you have, can only better your life.”
