Zap! Kapow! Boom!

Anne Hathaway gets the comic book treatment in an exclusive preview of her guest-starring stint on Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s Hit Record on TV.

In the delightfully goofy sneak peek, Hathaway, 32, plays the knife-handed villain Vivica Virus, who faces off against chiseled hero Brock Blaster, who is portrayed by her former Dark Knight Rises costar Gordon-Levitt, 34.

Reporter Brenda Bright’s (Chrissy Regler) life hangs in the balance as Brock Blaster attempts to save the day. Meanwhile, Vivica Virus’ sidekick (Nick Kocher) and Brock Blaster’s right-hand man (Brian McElhaney) yearn to be the superheroes.

Later on in the episode, titled “The Number Two,” Pivot teases, “musicians pick partners [for] a color-drenched music video” and “second children describe what [it’s] like to be number two.”

Hit Record on TV with Joseph Gordon-Levitt airs Fridays (10 p.m. ET) on Pivot.
