Zing! Amy Schumer Takes on Katie Couric (Prank Text!) and Al Roker for 'Phoning It In'
The Trainwreck star also tells Savannah Guthrie her dating life is less-than-stellar: "Can a vagina atrophy?"
It’s a good idea to password protect your cell phone – especially when Amy Schumer is around!
The Trainwreck star, 34, stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and confessed to swiping Katie Couric‘s phone at the 2015 Glamour “Women of the Year” Awards and sending Couric’s husband, financier John Molner, a naughty text message.
“Don’t worry, I didn’t do anything,” Schumer told the audience. “Except … I picked it up and, without even thinking, texted him,” saying she suggested an explicit sex act.
“I didn’t even think about it. It happened so fast!” she said as Fallon and the audience dissolved into giggles.
“I show Mindy [Kaling] and I go ‘Look what happened.’ ” She’s like, ‘What do you mean what happened? You did that! You just did that!’ ”
Schumer recalls that Couric and her husband took off for the night about 90 seconds after the text: “Like, I don’t know why he wants to leave!”
Schumer kept the laughs coming on TODAY Thursday. When asked about her real feelings, Schumer quickly deflected, turning her attention to weatherman Al Roker instead.
“How do you feel?” asks host Savannah Guthrie. “You’ve got this big movie out. This is like the Amy Schumer moment. You are just everywhere. Do you feel like, ‘Okay, I think I’ve made it, I’m like a big deal?’ ”
“I feel like, I don’t know if you were just watching the weather because you were coming up here, but I feel like Al was phoning it in,” Schumer replied, admitting “I know that’s not what we’re talking about.”
“I feel like he’s resting on his laurels,” jokes Schumer. “And I don’t even know what that means but it just came to me and I thought I should say it.”
She was similarly blunt when Guthrie asked her about her dating life.
“Can a vagina atrophy?” she replied as people off-camera could be heard laughing.
If that didn’t prove Schumer currently reigns as the funniest woman in the galaxy, her recent GQ collaboration might convince you.
In addition to posing for some risqué photos with the non-human members of the Star Wars cast, she also wrote headlines for a mock-up of the cover she graces.

Trainwreck crashes into theaters Friday.
