The Sweet Way Amy Roloff Is Readying for TWO Grandchildren — and Why She's Feeling 'Overwhelmed'
The Roloff family matriarch will welcome two grandchildren in 2017: a grandson and a granddaughter
Amy Roloff can’t wait to welcome not just one, but two grandchildren into the world this year!
In preparation of her embracing the new title — and responsibility — of grandmother, a “grandma shower” was thrown for the Little People, Big World star.
“Today was the grandma shower and I feel great!” Amy, 52, shared in a clip of the TLC series posted Thursday.
But although the grandma-to-be is looking forward to meeting both her grandson and granddaughter in 2017, she admitted, “I feel too young to be a grandmother.”
To help with her transition, Amy’s friends threw a yellow and black, bee-themed bash in her honor.
“I feel a little bit overwhelmed. All of my girlfriends did a tremendous job at putting all of this on,” said the mother of four. “It was just spectacular.”
And just how did the adorable celebration come to be?
“I randomly came up with that thought. I like to be a little bit self-sufficient and so I wanted a grandma party and get those things that a grandma may need or want, so when the kids bring over the grandbabies, I’m all ready and prepared and they don’t have to stress out,” she admitted. “I have two grandbabies on the way. It’s like How does that happen? Obviously I have twins.”

Zach Roloff and his wife, Tori, announced back in November that they were expecting their first child, and revealed in January that they will be having a baby boy due in May. One month after Zach and Tori’s gender reveal, twin brother Jeremy and his wife Audrey Roloff announced that they are also pregnant with their first child: a baby girl.
With two grandchildren on the way, there’s lots to look forward to — but there’s one thing that Amy is especially excited about: “To have them so close together, I’m really looking forward to how they’re going to be as cousins.”
“I just hope that I can zip it when I need to zip it and not be the grandma where they’re like, ‘Mom, don’t do that! You gotta stop doing that!’ ” she added with a smile.
Little People, Big World returns May 2 at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.
