It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a contestant on America’s Got Talent!

In an exclusive preview of tonight’s episode of AGT, 16-year-old Austin-based flyboarding champ Damone Rippy soars through the airs and dives into the water, making a big splash with the judges and crowd in the process.

As Pitbull‘s “Fireball” plays in the background, onlookers marvel at Rippy’s tricks. “That is crazy. That’s like Iron Man,” comments judge Howard Stern.

Rippy got his start in the sport after admiring videos of flyboarding that he found online at age 14. According to NBC, he is now a member of a competitive flyboard team and hopes to popularize the extreme sport. His impressive flyboarding résumé includes his participation in the 2013 Flyboarding World Cup in Qatar, where he was the youngest competitor, and a win at the 2014 Flyboard North American Championship.

America’s Got Talent‘s #AGTextreme episode airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
