America's Got Talent Crowns New Winner
Six finalists were battling for $1 million and a show in Las Vegas
Dancers, singers, comedians, magicians.
America had plenty to choose from Wednesday as the eighth season of America’s Got Talent came to a close. But of course, only one performer could walk away with $1 million and the chance to headline a show in Las Vegas.
Whom did America choose? Read on to find out. (Warning: spoilers ahead.)
In the end, Kinechi Ebina’s prodigious talents proved irresistible, as the Japanese freestyle dancer – who combines his moves with martial arts and video montages he creates himself – walked away with the grand prize.
“It’s amazing. It’s crazy,” he said after outlasting comedian Taylor Williamson, the runner-up, and country singer Jimmy Rose in the final three.
The nationwide vote echoed the results of PEOPLE’s poll on Wednesday, in which 41 percent of you said Ebina should win – more than double the tally of any other contestant.
Finishing fourth, fifth and sixth on Wednesday’s show were opera trio Forte, magician Collins Key and singer Cami Bradley.
