Amber Rose Calls Kylie Jenner a 'Sweet Girl' and Clears Up Khloé Kardashian Feud
She may be coming out with a self-help book titled How to Be a Bad Bitch, but right now Amber Rose seems to be playing nice.
The artist, actress and model, 31, recently set the record straight about her infamous Twitter feud with Khloé Kardashian. (Quick recap: the feud started when Rose criticized Kardashian’s 17-year-old sister, Kylie Jenner, for her relationship with rapper Tyga, 25. “Kylie’s a baby,” she told New York’s Power 105.1 in February. “She needs to go to bed at 7 o’clock and relax. Tyga should be ashamed of himself.” Kardashian came to her sister’s defense via Twitter: “Please don’t worry about my sister who has a career and her s––– together at ONLY 17,” she wrote, adding, “Please stop talking about us in interviews mama. None of us talk about you.”)
“I feel like everything was extremely misunderstood,” said Rose regarding the feud on this week’s Perez Hilton Podcast. “Listen, I met Kylie before, she was actually a really sweet girl. I was very surprised about how nice she was to me.”
Rose explained that she wasn’t attacking Kylie, but that she was critisizing Tyga on behalf of her best friend, Blac Chyna, who is Tyga’s ex and the mother of his child.
“So for me to say that ‘Yes, she should probably go to bed’ – maybe was in poor taste, and I understand that,” Rose admitted. “But I feel like that should have been more of a phone call that Khloé could have had with me – she could have called me. We run in the same circles.”
The model also said that social media blew the situation out of proportion.
“That’s her sister, so I understand where she was from,” said Rose of Kardashian’s decision to defend Kylie. “I feel like it escalated to a point where it shouldn’t have gotten that far. I always thought Khloé was cool. I never really, like, met her but I always felt like she had a bunch of personality and she was like, a really cool girl. So it wasn’t really about them – it just kind of turned into that, and be it social media, it just made everything a lot worse.”
Rose concluded by saying that she wants to put all the bad blood behind her.
“It’s like we’re grown. Let’s have a conversation,” she said. “I want to just end it all like, you know, it’s hard for me to be a feminist and still have those loose ends. I really don’t want to argue with those girls. It’s just – it’s just not that serious for me.”
