Amber Marchese has overcome her second battle with breast cancer.

The former Real Housewives of New Jersey star opened up to PEOPLE about her current health at WE tv's celebration of the return of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Thursday in New York City.

"I'm actually done with treatment," revealed Amber, 39. "Actually, two weeks ago was my last treatment. I'm clean, I'm clear and I'm just ready to get on with life."

Amber survived breast cancer in 2009 before going on to discover a lump, which turned out to be cancerous, in her right breast in April 2015.

Of how the experience changed her outlook on life, the reality star says it's made her full of "love."

"Oh my god – I love people, I love life, I love my family and I appreciate everything," she said. "I mean, I just don't take anything for granted. Nothing's guaranteed."

Marchese admitted that her health struggles put a strain on her marriage to husband Jim – which was part of the reason the couple decided to join the cast of Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars this season.

"Our marriage has taken a lot of hits – you know, the health reasons," she said. "We were just at a point where we needed to work on us, which we haven't done in the last 10 years because life has literally kicked our asses."

"We've been married 10 years, and every couple after about 10, 12 years … you go through your traditional fights," added Jim. "Like, about the kids, or money, or just intimacy, honestly."

The couple said the experience "100 percent" helped them learn about themselves.

"This camp has really brought us to another level and has helped us move on from what we experienced in our past," said Amber. "Like, it's in the past, and that's it. We are brand new, ripping a whole new Band Aid off of it. We're healed and we're ready to go."

Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars season 6 premieres Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. ET on WEtv.
