Josh Duhamel will return to his soapy roots for a cameo on All My Children, the ABC daytime drama that helped launch his career, reports.

Before the show ends for good in September, the Transformers: Dark of the Moon actor has agreed to reprise his role of con man Leo du Pres – who was presumed dead in a waterfall accident, although his body was never found.

Duhamel, 38, won an Daytime Emmy for his AMC role in 2002.

“Everyone at All My Children is thrilled and excited to welcome Josh back to Pine Valley,” AMC executive producer Julie Carruthers said in a statement. “The appearance of Leo is sure to be one the highlights of the season.”
