Rain, Bird, Bear — and bears! — are back in all-new episodes of Alaskan Bush People — and PEOPLE has a first look at the 2017 episodes.

“This year is all about a self-sustaining homestead,” patriarch Billy Brown says in the trailer.

And his family’s home in rural Alaska really does look like it’s come a long way since it was destroyed by a bear late last year.

Browntown — which is what the family of nine calls their home — “is becoming more than just, like, a little encampment,” says one of Brown’s sons. “It’s becoming a town.”

After a stint in rehab, eldest son Matt is back with the family, who have added a cow, Sabrina, to their brood. As the sons continue their search for love, the Browns will continue to endure the elements of the Alaskan bush as they fight to keep their way of life alive.

“This is what living wild in the bush is all about,” third-oldest son Bear says in the trailer as he’s shown — running, of course — up a stream.
