Entertainment TV 'Friday Night Lights' : Adrianne Palicki Thinks Tyra Would Have Married Tim Riggins and 'Literally Become' Tami Taylor The actress also talks about ABC's decision not to move forward with a Agents of S.H.I.E.LD spinoff about her character By Michele Corriston Published on June 5, 2015 03:25 PM Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: Jamie McCarthy/Getty Texas forever! Adrianne Palicki imagines that almost four years after Friday Night Lights blew the final whistle, her character Tyra would be living the dream in 2015 as the second coming of Connie Britton. “I think that she’s literally become Tami Taylor,” Palicki, 32, told PEOPLE on Thursday at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas. “I think she’s a counselor at some really awesome school, maybe a university somewhere, maybe married to Tim Riggins. And he’s a coach of some football team, and they’re literally like the reincarnation of [Tami and Eric].” A FNL reboot starring Palicki and Taylor Kitsch sounds fantastic to us, but though the cast is still incredibly close, she doesn’t believe there will ever be an on-screen reunion. “There’s been talks for a long time, but I don’t see it happening, to be honest,” she said. “I think it was good that they cut if off before it got bad, you know? It happens too many times with good things, they just let it go too long. I think they did the right thing.” Still, she’s honored to have been a part of a series that’s only growing in popularity as Netflix viewers binge on the drama focused on football, family and friendship. “That’s the thing about it, when we were shooting we were almost canceled every season because nobody watched the show,” she says. “I’m recognized more for Friday Night Lights than anything I’ve ever done. It’s such a cool thing, how it’s touched everybody’s lives to this day.” These days, Palicki is kicking butt as Bobbi Morse on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. She was poised to take the lead in a planned spin-off until ABC decided to shelve the series. “I was really looking forward to it, but there’s reasons for everything,” she explains. “It’s not now, there’s a reason for that, and hopefully next year we’ll have another opportunity.” RELATED: Connie Britton’s Hair Care Secret: Skipping Shampoo!
