"Even if you don't think you're skinny, in comparison to me, you probably are," Thore says
It takes a lot of guts to dance like nobody’s judging.
In an exclusive sneak peek from TLC’s new docu-series My Big Fat Fabulous Life, 380-lb. dancer Whitney Thore serves up sass and razor-sharp choreography to “Put Your Hands Up,” by Bad Girl.
Thore, 30, is using the dance routine, which she dedicates to “all my skinny sisters out there,” to combat the dramatic, 200-lb. weight gain she endured after being diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome.
Giving context to her challenge, Thore asks, “Can you imagine strapping 100 lbs. on your body and doing it, like, the same way that you did it before? It’s really, really, really hard!”
But, with her A Fat Girl Dancing YouTube series, the Greensboro, North Carolina, resident has made it look effortless.
Thore’s dancing and her No Body Shame Campaign are chronicled in My Big Fat Fabulous Life, premiering Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
