In her time as a student midwife, Jill Dillard helped to deliver close to 100 babies. As she approached the birth of her first child with husband Derick Dillard, however, that knowledge became a bit of a burden.

“She’s got information overload,” shares Duggar matriarch Michelle, 48, in a sneak peek at this week’s episode of 19 Kids and Counting, a two-hour special titled Jill’s Special Delivery. “Plus, there’s the realization that she’s fixing to go through [the delivery of her first child]. Put those together and you could call that stress!”

That said, the 19 Kids and Counting star isn’t sweating it too badly, though she admits, “It will be a challenge to step aside and realize I’m not the midwife here. That’s why I’ve surrounded myself with people who I feel are competent and can take care of me.”

One of those people is eldest sister Jana, 25, who says that “Jill is very excited to be a mom and I think even more so, just, with her study and midwifery and everything.”

To welcome Israel David into the world, Jill, 23, eventually went through a 70-hour delivery that ended up deviating from her original birth plan. Following her cesarean section, though, Jill said that Israel was “worth every contraction.”

19 Kids and Counting: Jill’s Special Delivery airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on TLC.
