This Is Not a Drill: Nintendo’s Black Friday Switch Bundle Just Dropped at Walmart

Get your shopping carts ready, gamers! These Nintendo Switch Black Friday sales are going to move fast — like Mario-vs.-Sonic fast.

After much anticipation, Walmart has at last released its Black Friday Nintendo Switch bundle that includes Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a three-month membership to Nintendo Online for $299. The bundle, at a $367 value, is the yearly deal that gamers have to look forward to as well as the absolute best chance for fans of Nintendo to score the never-on-sale Switch remotely marked down.

Even without the price cut, having the Nintendo Switch back in stock would be a big deal already — the console has become unprecedentedly sought-after due to increased demand for indoor entertainment during the coronavirus pandemic. Inventory for the Switch has been spotty at best, and the only solid chance of scoring one would be refreshing landing pages at retailers like Best Buy and Amazon constantly. The Animal Crossing-themed edition is currently in stock at Best Buy, but if history is any indication, it'll be gone again any minute.

The Switch Lite, a.k.a. the smaller sibling of the Switch, has become a rare commodity these past few months, too, but shoppers can now find it fully in stock at Best Buy, Walmart, and Amazon — and on sale to boot! Amazon is offering bundles of the Switch Lite with microSD cards that increase its storage for up to $16 off, with the bundles valued up to $240 for options with the largest microSD storage size.

The deals don’t stop there, though: Switch owners looking to stock up on games can get fan favorites like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Just Dance 2021, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, and Pokemon Sword plus Shield on sale for up to 75 percent off. Games are as little as $15, and even accessories, like the Pro Controller and extra Joy-Cons, are marked down by as much as $20. You can even get a bundle with the Pro Controller and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on sale.
