Jake Gyllenhaal, rooting for the Los Angeles Dodgers during a night out with brother-in-law Peter Sarsgaard at sold-out Dodger Stadium. The guys watched as the home team bested the Cincinnati Reds, 6-2, from the stadium’s club seats, and cheered like crazy when Manny Ramirez hit his grand slam. They also grabbed some peanuts and Cracker Jacks – traditional ballpark fare! – and Gyllenhaal was very nice when approached for pictures by fans.

Joe Jonas had a sweet ending to his New York visit before continuing down to Philadelphia on tour with his brothers. The pop star and two friends stopped into Serendipity 3 for some frozen hot chocolate – and Jonas had to fend off screaming female fans who wanted his picture. He also bought some “Pick Your Nose” party cups in the restaurant’s gift shop.

Jessica Alba, taking her daughter Honor Marie, 1, along for a little shoe shopping at Steve Madden in New York City’s Lower East Side. The actress tried on embellished flats, colorful pumps and gladiator sandals – and walked out with three new pairs of kicks!

• A smiling Lindsay Lohan, partying in a private (and guarded) cabana on the roof of the Thompson Hotel in Beverly Hills. The starlet and her best friend, Patrick Aufdenkamp, attended the A/X bash and headed right for their private space. But Lohan, who sported a very short, belted black dress, also chatted with pals in front of the cabana, played with her BlackBerry and smoked cigarettes. She also showed off her new tattoo to a male friend, using her lighter to illuminate it.

Eva Longoria Parker, holding a business meeting at CityCenter in Las Vegas to discuss opening a Sin City outpost of her West Hollywood eatery Beso in December. Also in Vegas (separately): Mel Gibson, who took son Thomas and two of his friends to check out the Blue Man Group show at the Venetian.
