Leonardo DiCaprio, pacing around the Nice airport after his arrival from London en route to Cannes. His anxiety was well-founded: the Titanic actor’s bags were lost and he had to head into the French Riviera resort without them. But Leo isn’t the only star without baggage in Cannes: Joe Simpson, Jessica’s dad, had to hunt out a new set of clothes when his luggage was mislaid.

Kylie Minogue, gleaming while continuing her New York visit. The Aussie pop star has reportedly spent her time in the Big Apple shopping and taking business meetings.

Orlando Bloom, clearing up some important hygiene issues at the Horton & Converse Pharmacy on Sunset Blvd. The actor, in a black sweater and dark jeans, bought “ear candles” before jumping into a waiting car outside.

• The Entourage crew – Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly and Jerry Ferrara – celebrating Ferrara’s performance in Brooklyn Rules at Hollywood hotspot Parc. According to an onlooker, it was like a scene out of the show – only this time, the gang was rooting for Turtle’s (not Vince’s) movie. At the post-premiere bash, the pals huddled around at the bar, laughing over mini slices of cheesecake and beer.

Jay-Z, holding court in a booth in the front room of New York club Marquee. The rapper/mogul, in a white sweatshirt sporting the image of a giant skull, entertained two women, who brought the fireworks – literally. The ladies held up oversized sparklers, shooting streams of sparks into the air.

• An almost unrecognizable Courtney Love, talking nonstop with 14-year-old daughter Frances Bean at Prime Grill in Beverly Hills. The svelte singer, sporting a shoulder length bob, sat down with X-Men: The Last Stand director Brett Ratner, who had been eating dinner earlier – while Love ordered a cappuccino and ate his dessert. Meanwhile, Frances Bean shared her directorial ambitions with a gracious Ratner, a source tells us.
