Pierce Brosnan

    Pierce Brosnan is an Irish actor. He rose to prominence as the star of the American TV crime drama Remington Steele, which aired from 1982 to 1987. Brosnan is arguably best known for playing James Bond in four films: GoldenEye (1995), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999) and Die Another Day (2002). He is also known for starring in Dante's Peak (1997) and The Thomas Crown Affair (1999) as well as for appearances in Mrs. Doubtfire (1993) and Mamma Mia! (2008). Brosnan supports a number of charitable and environmental causes, including through sales of prints of his paintings. He was named PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive in 2001.
