Olivia Colman

Olivia Colman (née Sarah Caroline Colman) is an English actress. Colman made her acting debut in 2000 on the comedy sketch show Bruiser. She found more mainstream success in 2004 when she joined the cast of the Channel 4 sitcom Peep Show in the role of Sophie. Colman's other early roles include parts in the series Green Wing (2004–2006), That Mitchell and Webb Look (2006–2008) and Beautiful People (2008–2009). Colman won critical acclaim for her performance as Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller in the crime drama Broadchurch (2013–2017) and her role in the series Fleabag (2016-2019). Her 2016 performance in the BBC drama The Night Manager earned her the Golden Globe Award for best supporting actress – series, miniseries or television film. She also won the Primetime Emmy Award for outstanding lead actress in a drama series and a Golden Globe Award for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in the Netflix drama The Crown, which she starred in from 2019 to 2020. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in 2018's The Favourite and earned two more Academy Award nominations for her performances in the films The Father (2020) and The Lost Daughter (2021). Her other well-known movie roles include Hot Fuzz (2007), The Iron Lady (2011), Locke (2013), The Lobster (2015), Murder on the Orient Express (2017) and The Mitchells vs. the Machines (2021). She married Ed Sinclair in 2001; the pair have three children.
