Liza Minnelli

Liza Minnelli is an American actress, singer and dancer. The daughter of legendary actress Judy Garland and director Vincente Minnelli, she made a name for herself playing Sally Bowles in the 1972 film Cabaret, a role that won her an Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA Award. Minnelli made her film debut in 1949, appearing in In the Good Old Summertime alongside her mother. She made her nightclub debut at 19 and that same year, 1965, won her first Tony Award for her performance in Flora the Red Menace, making her the youngest person to win the leading actress in a musical Tony. In 1969, she earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in The Sterile Cuckoo. Minnelli has achieved EGOT status, winning an Emmy for her 1972 concert special Liza with a Z, as well as a Grammy, an Oscar and four Tonys.
