Johnny Cash was an American country singer and songwriter. Nicknamed "The Man in Black," he rose to fame after releasing hit singles such as "Folsom Prison Blues" and "I Walk the Line." Cash is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold over 90 million records worldwide. He died in 2003 of complications from diabetes.
