Ian Somerhalder

    Ian Somerhalder is an American actor. His most well-known role is as Damon Salvatore on The CW's The Vampire Diaries (2009-2017). He also had supporting roles on Lost, V Wars and The Rules of Attraction. Somerhalder is active in several charity organizations, including the It Gets Better Project to support LGBTQ+ youth and various animal-related organizations. He launched his own organization, the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, in 2010 to raise awareness about protecting the environment and animals. He married Twilight star Nikki Reed in 2015, and the two welcomed a daughter in 2017.
