You Voted: The Best and Worst of Grammys 2012
BEST SONG SMACKDOWN: KATY PERRY
“Mean” has some bite, but it was performance of her new single, “Part of Me,” that earned props from 76% of you for its triumphant, I’m-fine-without-you message.
PERFORMANCE WORTH THE HYPE: ADELE
Lots of pressure, lots of buzz – and major delivery. Adele’s return to the stage following months of vocal rest and a serious surgery was worth the wait: 97% of you called her heartfelt rendition of “Rolling in the Deep” “amazing.”
SPARKLIEST STAR: CARRIE UNDERWOOD
Sure it was Adele’s night, but stole a bit of her sparkle – at least on the red carpet. The country crooner’s Gomez-Gracia column was your favorite glimmering gown (with 57% of the vote), while Adele’s Armani earned 23% and Taylor Swift’s Zuhair Murad got 14% of votes.
BIGGEST FASHION MISS: NICKI MINAJ
The best new artist nominee ruffled a few feathers with her somewhat controversial getup – and 66% of you thought it was the night’s worst look. daring Jean Paul Gaultier came in second place with 17% of the vote, and Robyn’s funky white look took 12%.
MOST TOUCHING MOMENT: LL'S PRAYER
WORST PERSON TO SIT BEHIND: NICKI MINAJ
You didn’t like Nicki’s outfit – and you didn’t want to be near it, either. A whopping 67% of you said you wouldn’t want to be stuck behind the rapper’s big red hood during the show … meaning that you would’ve rather been peering around Deadmau5’s big ears.
WORST NON-SINGER: CHRIS BROWN
The R&B star impressed with his dance moves, but 92% of you were mad at for lip-syncing during his performance of “Turn Up the Music” and “Beautiful People.”
HOTTEST GRAMMY GUY: ADAM LEVINE
He’s got the “Moves Like Jagger” – and a slick suit, too! Maroon 5’s Adam Levine looked the best in his black tie, according to 31% of readers, with and tying for runner-up with each sexy man taking 22% of the vote.
