Jennifer Hudson is hitting all the right notes in her newest gig: she’s created a clothing line for QVC. The star, who recently shed 80 pounds through Weight Watchers, says her collection will be for any body type.

“I feel like I represent every woman,” Hudson tells WWD. “I’ve been on both sides of the fence. I’ve been a big girl and now whatever this is, the average size, whatever you want to call it. But I wanted the clothes to be where any girl could wear it — no matter what size you are — and you could feel comfortable in it.”

Hudson joins a long list of celebrities who have designed for the network, including Nicole Richie, Rachel Zoe and Heidi Klum.

The 14-piece collection is made up of subtle earth tones and easy silhouettes, and can be dressed up or down. “It has to be true to me,” she says. “I would not sign off on it if I would not wear it.”

The line is also affordable: the most expensive piece is a dress coat, priced at $170. “It’s cut like a dress. It’s very structured [and] very classic,” Hudson explains.

Other standout items include $50 leggings — Hudson says she owns more than 300 pairs and dubs herself “the legging queen” — and a $75 sheer maxi skirt with pockets.

The collection will premiere on QVC on Sept. 10, and new styles will follow in November and December. Tell us: Would you buy from a Hudson-designed clothing line?
