Now that it’s officially fall as of Sunday, we officially can no long be in denial: It’s time to start loading up on long sleeves, fun accessories to brighten up our darker wardrobes and oh, seven or nine more pairs of boots. See what three of our editors just added to our closet — and be sure to check out what Pretty Little Liars star (and one of our style crushes) Lucy Hale tells us she’ll be wearing all fall as well.
Lucy Hale, Pretty Little Liars star: The last thing I bought was my Alexander Wang booties. They’re just flat, black boots. I went on a pre-radio tour for my music a couple of weeks ago and so it was my gift to myself. You can wear them with anything.
I got these ones because the ones I originally wanted were not in my size and I was like ‘Well, I have to get something,’ and so I turn my head and I [said]: ‘Those!’

Alex Apatoff, Contributor: I saw this dress in orange and purple on Savannah Guthrie a few weeks ago, and I emailed my producer friend at the Today Show demanding he ask her who made it. He knows better than to mess with me when it comes to clothes, and within minutes I had my answer — and a mission.
Finding out Ted Baker London also had it in black with white trim around the bottom just cemented my need to own it. So I saved up my pennies for a few weeks (Lord, am I sick of turkey sandwiches) and finally made the big purchase last week. It may look even more adorable on me that it did on Savannah. Just kidding, she has way better hair than I do. But I still love it!
Andrea Lavinthal, Style Director: Earlier this month I revealed my first fall purchase — black moto boots — in this very spot. So what was my second purchase? Oh, just another pair of boots.
This time, a tan knee-high style from Corso Como that I spotted in the window of a cute boutique called Platform in Hoboken, N.J. I entered the store repeating “I will not buy those boots” over and over and continued to do do as I zipped them up and strutted around the store. But the gorgeous color and comfortable stacked heel annihilated my willpower (and my Amex) and now the boots are in my closet making friends with my skinny jeans and dresses.

Annie Daly, News Editor: My guy friends always give me a hard time for wearing a million bangles on my wrists. They ask, “Why do you wear so many bracelets? One’s not enough?” My answer: No. When it comes to bracelets, one, my friends, is never enough.
Which is why I am beyond thrilled to introduce the latest member of my bracelet collection: this enamel bangle from Spartina 449. I love the black-and-gold colors (so perfect for fall!), not to mention the cheapie price tag … it’s only $45. Plus, it comes in tons of other colors and patterns, so I can easily stack them (and wave my wrist in front of my perpetually-confused guy friends to make them question my fashion choices even more than they already do).
