What to Wear This Weekend, From Date Night to Brunch
We've got three very different lacy looks to take you through Monday morning
The weather is warm, the barbeques are getting fired up and it’s time to start changing over your winter wardrobe. Below, check out three sweet, lacy looks to take you from date night to work Monday morning — no coats required.
Saturday night: This dress is like the holy grail of man attraction. It’s bright, it’s short and it’s girlie without being syrup-y sweet. Add some sexy ankle-strap metallic heels (Ashley Tisdale‘s are Schutz) and leave your hair loose, and we guarantee his eyes will be glued to you all night. This $60 Asos dress has a similarly sassy, citrus-y vibe, and these Michael Antonio heels will make your legs look miles long for less than $50. Skip the coat and borrow his jacket if it gets chilly once the sun goes down.
Brunch: To discuss all of Saturday night’s details over bagels with your girlfriends, stick with the citrus lace theme but strike a decidedly more low-key note. We love Charlize Theron‘s bright color combo with her Madewell tee (still available in white) and papaya-colored flats, all pulled together by her neutral Level 99 jeans and cream-colored bag. Get the same bright idea with a $20 Merona tee and bold BP flats, plus a simple satchel.

Monday morning: The sun may be out, but your office AC is still freezing. Combat cold temps (and look totally pulled together — no sloppy office sweater required!) with a look like Emma Stone‘s chic Michael Kors ensemble (including, yes, lace pants. We’re kind of having a lace moment). These Chico’s pants give the same look in a very easy-to-pull-off style. Add a cute pleated blouse and your favorite black pumps and you’re out the door in under 15 minutes.
